Christmas stories

Christmas candlesALTERnativity believes that people should know the first story of Christmas. The story of a simple birth in humble surroundings; the story of long journeys and shattered expectations, the story of simple delight and the promise of a better world.

We also believe that we should all be able to tell our own Christmas stories - and for those stories to be heard.

When we don't know the first story and when we can't tell our own story, we allow other stories to take its place. Stories of shopping and excess, of perfect families and unrealistic expectations.

This section is full of Christmas stories. You'll find some taken straight from the Nativity and others which have been shared in communities and churches.

We would love to hear your story, if you'd like to share it please click here.
